Redemption Song

Support independent publishing: buy this book on Lulu. The Teaser: Is redemption seeking forgiveness from those you've sinned against, or is it something deeper?   Quinn has to find the answer to that question when he returns to Portland three years after running away from himself and what he had done.   Now he has a past he cannot talk about, and a mission to redeem himself.   To do this, he has to first find the people he left behind, and this proves to be much harder than he had expected.   Quinn has to navigate his way though a path of betrayal, guilt, and the underground world of rockabilly scenesters on his own particular road to redemption.

Background: Imagine my surprise when one day on the train to work I found myself writing a novel. I was luckier than most, I got a few nibbles.  All eventually passed.   So what to do next? I started to feel frustrated.   Not with the rejections, that is just the nature of the beast.   No, I wrote the book to be read, not to sit on my hard drive.   So I have decided to serialize the book for free.

Why? First, and formost, it is so people have a chance to the book. I will confess to having another motive: I am hoping that enough people like what they read, and leave comments in the blog, email me, or perhaps even buy a printed copy. If enough do -- if a market can be proved -- then it might just be possible to get a traditional publisher interested. So there is little to risk, and everything to gain (more).

The Book: New installments and other news will be announced in the blog. Note: you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the book. Or check it out on your mobile phone at www.jockmurphy.com/mob
